The Malaysian Health Ministry is planning on launching the Malaysian Health Transformation Initiative. The goal of these efforts is to converge public and private healthcare systems together in order to provide a sustainable, affordable, and high quality system to Malaysians. In past years, the public and private healthcare systems have been able to co-exist separately and assist each other in times of need. The Health Ministry believes that converging both systems will provide even greater benefits. Currently, the plan is still in the development stages and is seeking input from key stakeholders.
