Researchers are able to host highly cost-efficient trials in Thailand, while still having ready access to the country’s advanced medical equipment and infrastructure. Additionally, the Thai government supports the clinical trial industry through its national policies and has a universal healthcare program. However, there are lengthy processes for receiving independent ethical approval and import licenses. Despite these challenges, the Thai economy is growing and there is an increased demand for medical specialists.
