Precision medicine in Asia growing

The use of genetic or molecular profiling, known as precision medicine, is growing in popularity and usefulness throughout Asia, as doctors become more adept at selecting treatments that are most likely to help patients based on a genetic understanding of their disease.

Singapore recently established a national precision medicine initiative. South Korean universities are pairing up with industry leaders to explore the application of precision medicine in cancer treatment.  And in Japan, government and academic researchers are using genetic markers to study the causes of stroke, kidney failure, and cancer.
