New online portal expected to speed therapeutics applications in Singapore

Moving to further streamline and modernize its process for reviewing therapeutic products, the Therapeutic Products Branch of Singapore’s Health Sciences Authority (HSA) is instituting a new online documentation process. The new form will allow applicants to file registrations for multiple products through a single online portal, and then to submit required, ongoing documentation and data using the same form.

The move by the HSA is likely to ease the process of gaining approval of such products. The online form will be required for registrations submitted after May 1. It will be accessible through PRISM; the same system registrants already use. Under the laws of Singapore,  “Therapeutic products” generally refer to any substance intended for use by and in humans for a therapeutic, preventative, palliative, or diagnostic purpose.
