According to a news report from the Business Standard, Japanese and Indian medical device and pharmaceutical regulators met in New Delhi in May to discuss potential collaboration efforts. Participants in the two day conference agreed to cooperate further, and Japan invited Indian regulators to attend its newly established Asia Training Center.
The Asia Training Center – jointly created by Japan’s Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Agency and the Ministry of Health Labor and Welfare – is an international venue where foreign countries can send their experts to learn from Japanese scientists and regulators.
