Asian Countries
The reimbursement schemes in Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam will vary. The wealthier countries like Hong Kong and Singapore have well-defined pharmaceutical/drug reimbursement schemes. In the other Asian countries above, there are pharmaceutical/drug reimbursements primarily geared toward local generics.
Reimbursement for medical devices, on the other hand, is a lot less developed in these Asian markets than pharmaceuticals/drugs. Most of the time in these markets, medical device reimbursement is very low or non-existent.
