Distributor Search for Medical Devices in China

Finding the right medical device distributor in China can be a tricky process. Up until 10 years ago, almost all medical devices were distributed via large government-owned medical distributors. Today, there are more and more small to mid-sized medical device private distributors who are generally more responsive and have better marketing skills than large government distributors.

Despite this increase in Chinese distributors, the number of honest and well-funded private medical device distributors is relatively small. There are also only a few private medical device distributors with national coverage (with their own employees) today. Copying medical devices in China is also rampant. Thus, finding the right distributor for your medical devices will require a good knowledge of the market and lots of due diligence.
