Ames Gross - President and founder. Mr. Gross is recognized
nationally and internationally as a leader in the Asian medical markets.
In 2008, Medical Device and Diagnostic Industry (MD&DI)
magazine named Mr. Gross one of the top 100 executives in the medical
business. Mr. Gross founded PBM in 1988 and has helped hundreds of medical
companies with business development and regulatory issues in Asia. Mr.
Gross is a frequent contributor of articles on Asian medical issues
for Clinica (England), MD&DI (Los Angeles), and other
medically oriented journals. Mr. Gross has been a featured speaker on
the Asian medical markets at the Medical Design and Manufacturing (MD&M)
shows, the Medtrade Home Health Care Exhibition, the Regulatory Affairs
Professional Society’s annual and regional meetings, and a variety
of other medically oriented meetings and conferences. Mr. Gross has
a BA degree, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Pennsylvania and
an MBA from Columbia University.
Jean Huang - Vice President/China Office. Ms. Huang is in charge of our China operation. She graduated with a B.S. from National University of Defense Technology (Changsha, China) and has an M.A. in Business Administration from the University of Alabama. Ms. Huang has worked as a business analyst at FannieMae and has worked in both the United States and China for many years. Ms. Huang speaks Mandarin Chinese.
Akiko Miyoshi - Senior Vice President. Ms. Miyoshi works on consulting projects and conducts research. Ms. Miyoshi has over 12 years of experience in the medical device/drug business in Japan. She graduated with a B.E. in Industrial Chemistry from Seikei University (Tokyo, Japan) and has an MBA from Georgetown University. Ms. Miyoshi speaks Japanese.
David Lui - Vice President. Mr. Lui works on business development and medical consulting projects. He graduated with a B.S. in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University. Mr. Lui has over 10 years of project management experience and has lived many years in Hong Kong and China. Mr. Lui speaks Cantonese Chinese and Mandarin Chinese.
Grace Hong – Senior Associate. Ms. Hong conducts research and works on Asian medical consulting projects. She graduated with a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University and has also completed graduate coursework in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Before joining PBM, Ms. Hong was part of a clinical research team at the Johns Hopkins Myositis Center.
Kaori Yamaguchi - Senior Associate. Ms. Yamaguchi works on consulting projects for Japan. Ms. Yamaguchi graduated with a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Minnesota.
Melissa Wong - Associate. Ms. Wong conducts research and works on consulting projects. She graduated with a B.A. in Psychological and Brain Sciences as well as Asian and Middle Eastern Studies from Dartmouth College. Ms. Wong speaks Cantonese Chinese and Mandarin Chinese.
Angela Chan - Associate. Ms. Chan conducts research and works on consulting projects. She is also responsible for marketing PBM's business. She graduated with a B.S. in Biotechnology from The University of Hong Kong and has an M.A. in Journalism from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Prior to joining PBM, Ms. Chan worked as a Client Executive at an international public relations agency in Hong Kong. She speaks Cantonese Chinese and Mandarin Chinese.
In addition to the key staff members listed above, PBM also has 7 full time employees in the following five countries: Tokyo, Shanghai, Singapore, Hong Kong and Bangalore.
